When I woke up this morning, I never thought I would drive $250,000 Bentley Continental GT in 150mph at California Speedway.
But I did!!!
今朝起きた時、まさか2,500万円するベントレーを240㌔で運転するとは、夢にも思ってませんでした。
でも、やってきました！
Thanks to a good friend of mine Emmy and her friend Erin, I got an invite for Bentley VIP event at California Speedway where they invited the current owners and potential buyers for Bentely cars and have them take the cars to the limit and show how awesome the cars perfom.
友達のエミーとエリンのお陰で、ベントレーのVIPイベントに招待してもらいました。
There were 3 courses set up at the track.
First, we started at "Accident Avoidance" course where they let me go 0 to 60mph and also 60mph to 0. The acceleration of Continental GT was not bad considering how heavy the car is(Twin Turbo 600HP to the wheel; 0-60 in 4.9sec, thats not bad all), but what really surprised me was the brake. I mean the braking was awesome! One of the best, I must say. Electric Stability Control works really well and when I went 60mph to 0, I didn't feel much vibration through the steering wheel; and acceptable (pretty confortable) vibration through the brake pedal (so that I know the stability control is in works); the car was very stable. It was amazing.
Second, we drove the "Autocross" course where I learned the vehicle dynamics and conrtol. I knocked out some corns at first(oops, it's been a while), but it was very fun! Accelerate, go into a number of slight curves with a full throttle (Traction Control works awesome), brake, go into hard curve, accelerate again, it was very fun. I loved it.
サーキットには三つのコースが用意されていて、それぞれでクルマのパフォーマンス（性能）の限界を体を持って体験できました。
まずは静止状態から100キロ弱まで思いっきり加速し、そこから思いっきり、もう床が抜けるほどバコーッとブレーキペダルを踏み込む。 普通のクルマならドギャーッとスピンするんですが、コンチネンタルGTはギュギュッとあっ言う間に止まるんです。 これには、ツインターボ600馬力で0-60を4.9秒で加速するよりも、驚きました。
またジムカーナでは緩い連続したコーナーなら、素晴らしいトラクションコントロールのお陰でフルスロットルのまま、もう最高に楽しかったです。
At last, we took Continetal GT to the oval track where the instructor showed us the line, where to brake, where to accelerate and all that, and let us drive for a couple of laps.
そして最後はオーバル（楕円）コースにて最高速トライアル！
240㌔でかっ飛びました。
Doing 150mph in Continental GT knowing you are not gonna get ticket, that feels awesome! Because when I went 1**mph in IS F, GT-R and Z06, man I was worried about the cops(I've gotta go get me a Valentine rador detector).
あー、楽しかった！ むちゃくちゃ楽しかった！ 三つのコース、どれも楽しかった！ クルマって素晴らしいなぁ。
しかも240㌔だしても絶対にオマワリに捕まらないのが最高！ レクサスIS FでもGT-Rでもコルベットでも、フリーウェイで●００㌔以上だしたけど、いつもオマワリが心配だったからね。
Overall, I was amazed by how good the Bentley performed; and also how much fun I had with this car. I had no idea those cars had so much performance, I mean the horse power, great traction control, very stable through acceleration and braking, high top speed and very confortable at both "confort" and "sports" suspension setting.
Bentley Continental GT, one of the funnest cars I have ever driven before.
I already got to drive one at the track, now I want to drive one on the street. Then my neighbors' gonna really think I am a drag dealer or somethin. It's already bad enough that I drive around H2 Hummer, Nissan GT-R, Lexus LS600hL and IS F and Corvette Z06, if I come home with Continental GT, imagine what my neighbor's gonna think what I do for a living...

まとめると、ベントレー コンチネンタルGTというクルマは最高でした！ こんなにパフォーマンス重視のクルマだとは知らなかったな～。 確かに重量は重いよ。 そりゃクルマの性格上しょうがない（逆に軽かったらヒクでしょ）。 一番驚いたのはスタビリティ・コントロールかな。 とにかくクルマが超安定してるんだよね。 だからドライバーが安心できる。 安定してるって、普通の運転で安定してるんぢゃないよ。 ドカンとアクセル踏んで、床までブレーキペダルを踏み込んで、ステアリングをハードに切っても安心できるの。 素晴らしいよ、ホント。
サーキットではもう乗ったから、今度は公道で乗りたいんだけど、ウチに乗って帰ってくると近所の人やセキュリティ（警備員）がオレを麻薬の売人だと勘違いするんだよね。 すでにレクサスやH2ハマーを乗り回してるわけで、目ぇ付けられてるんだよね。
After the amazing day at the track with Continental GT, I went to eat dinner with Scott, Reiko, Mikala, Scott's parents and their friend who is a bounty hunter! That's so cool, isnt it?! and he did look like he is a bounty hunter too. His son is very well-known, if I say his name, all of you must know who he is...
Mikala is being nice and warm.
で、そんな楽しい1日の最後は、スコット、レイコ、ミカラ、スコットの両親とさらにその友達とディナーへ。 で、その友達ってのがなんと賞金稼ぎ！ アメリカだと賞金稼ぎ免許があって、ちゃんと職業なんだよね。 見た目もいかにも！って感じ。 で、なんと息子はあの……、有名人。 うーん、ビックリした。 てか、初めて賞金稼ぎにあった。 なかなかかっこいいなぁ。 チャカとワッパも合法的に持ち歩いているそうです。
