米Honda Tuning誌のロケで新潟へ。　

長野で一件撮影してから前乗りで新潟。　

そして昨日まで三重県伊賀市→名古屋→三重県鈴鹿市で撮影三昧。　

来週からピッツバーグとマイアミの東海岸ロケ行ってきます。

米Honda Tuning誌の撮影で、新潟のSS Worksさんにお邪魔。

デモカーであるCR-Xは外観、内装、エンジン、そして全体のバランスが素晴らしく、また代表の品野さんをはじめスタッフの方も大変良い人たちで非常に楽しい撮影でした。

特筆すべき点のひとつとして、デモカーのCR-Xは代表の弟さんが21年前に新車購入していることがあげられます。

色々な理由からセーブして走らなければいけないストリートと違い、常に限界ギリギリでサーキットを全開走行するデモカーとして、21年間もの間持ち続けられていることは非常に異例。　実際、SS Works CR-Xはつくばサーキットにて57秒’（！！！）というタイムをたたき出していて、現在もFFでの日本レコードホルダーだそう。　それだけ全開で走っても事故していないというのは、チューナーとドライバーの腕はのもちろん、きっと運がイイ個体なんだろう。　CR-Xとしても新車で買われて21年も可愛がられ、またオーナーとしても大きな事故もなく日本レコードホルダーでもある個体ということで、お互いがハッピーな関係なんじゃないかなーなんて、撮影中に考えてました。　だから、このエントリーの題名もThe world happiest CR-X（世界一幸せなCR-X）にしようか、The world luckiest CR-X（世界一幸運なCR-X）にしようか迷ったんだけどね。　とにかく、全てにおいて最高なSS Worksさんでした。　品野さん、ありがとうございました。　あ、ちなみに英語で書いたほうのおちは、The world happiest CR-X is also the world fastest CR-X ってことで。　お後がよろしいでしょ。

((CAR))Ken's New Whip

I just received an email from Ken with some images of his new rally car and a video.

Just take a look at the pictures and the video below.

Ken definitely is bringing extreme sports players(skateboarders, snowboarders, etc,) and the people from the street that didnt care about traditional motorsports into rally racing. The car looks great, including the graphic with street culture feel to it. Only Ken could do something like this.

Kenからメールが。　添付ファイルは写真二枚とYouTubeのビデオ。　とりあえず、写真とビデオを観て。　DC Shoes創設者であり、スノボーはプロ級、ラリードライバーとしても頭角をあらわしたKenの、WRC参戦マシン。　

Kenに関してはすごいことがあり過ぎて、何から書けばいいのか。　とりあえず、世界最大（級？）のスケートシューズブランドを立ち上げただけでもすごいのに、スバルワークスドライバーとしてアメリカのラリーシリーズに参戦、入賞。　さらに今年からは世界最高峰のラリーシリーズであるWRCに出ちゃうんだから。　しかもFordで。　普通の人の何倍も人生楽しんでるんだろうねぇ。　

で、車両もカッコいい。　今までラリーをはじめとする伝統的モータースポーツに見向きもしなかったエクストリームスポーツ好きも、これを機会にきっとラリーにも興味を持つんじゃないかともう。　スポーツをしないストリートな連中もカッコいいと思ってくれるグラフィックじゃないかなぁと。　　DaytonaでもAxel Speedでも、何度も取材させてもらってるKen。　どんどんパワーアップしてるね。

Shin Okada, the Legend.

It's hard to argue that Shin Okada is the most famous and the successful professional skateboarder in Japan. Now he owns a clothing brand called "Push Connection", acts as fashion advisor, and also working on some very interesting projects. I really like some of his collections, and models he uses(including himself) are very high profile people in Japan. You can find Shin at the most of parties in Tokyo. Say hi, he is definitely the friendliest and nicest people I know.

打ち合わせのため、Shinくんのオフィスへお邪魔。　プロのスケーターとしての活躍はもちろん、自身のブランドの展開、多ブランドのファッションアドバイザー、そしてパーティーボーイとしてなど、その活躍の場は一つの場に留まらないShinくん。　会うたび、毎回イイ影響を受けます。　そして、”Push Connection”、カッコいいです。　やっぱりスケーターとして機能の追及と、Shinくんのこだわりのスタイルが詰まっているんだろうな～。　最高です。

Hanging out with SAND of Cheez

ハニカムで特集されていたのも記憶に新しいCheezのSANDさんと飲み。

最近KIIRAというブランドも始めたそうで、ブログを見てみてビックリ！　だってパートナーの人はShikica出身って書いてある！！！　Schikicaって言ったらキクちゃんのブランドだよね。　最近会ってないけど。　

SANDさんとは一緒にAXEL SPEED Magazineを作った、いわば戦友。

I went to drink with Sand(Cheez). It wasnt that long ago that his brand was featured in Honeyee.com

He recently started a new brand called KIIRA, and I was surprised to find out in his blog that his new partner is from Shikica, because my friend owns Shikica!

Anyways, SAND and I worked together on Axel Speed Magazine a while back ago, and thinking of working together soon.

A successful fashion stylist Satoshi invited me to Glandhand's 2010 summer collection.

Nさんと恵比寿にて打ち合わせ後、スタイリストのサトシくんに誘っていただきGladhandさんの展示会へ。　Punchのイノウエンさん（Mens Eggスタイリスト）も一緒に。　しかもさっき恵比寿で見られてたし。

After meeting with Yoppy and her friend, I met up with my friend Ryuju(scenario writer for movies and TV shows), and went to a reception party in Harajuku.

それから、昨年CXでのドラマがヒットしたヤリ手脚本家の龍樹さんと待ち合わせ、Audiのレセプションへ。

Deicy in Daikanyama Opening Reception Party.

ちょっと前になりますが、Hirockさんに誘って頂き今年のパーティー初め。　代官山にオープンしたdeicyさんのレセプションへ。

This was a little while ago, but the first party in 2010 was "deicy" in Daikanyama.

Tokyo Auto Salon Report Volume 2

Two of the most legendary cars that Japan offers.

R32 GT-R and R34 GT-R.

32と34。　高速で遭遇したく無い二台。　いや、遭遇したい？　こっちが乗ってるクルマによるな、うん。　ま、どっちにしろR35あたり乗ってないと、遭いたくない。

Option magazine booth had about 10-15 fully-tuned GT-Rs on display.

雑誌オプションのブースにはチューンドRが10～15台ほどディスプレイ。　いいコンセプトだと思うし、オプションぽい。　しっかし、雑誌のブースが一番よかったなぁ、今年は。　それも問題かと思うけど。　観てるほうは楽しいけどね。

The best car at the show was this S14 at Drift Tengoku magazine booth.

今年一番かっこよかったのはこのイチヨン！　去年の一番は同じくドリフト天国ブースにあったイチサンだから、2年連続でドリ天ブースが一位！

What crazy about this car is, this is a fully functional drifting car. It's not even a show car, this guy drift at the track all day.

何がすごいって、これはショーカーじゃなくてドリ車ってことだよ。　時間とお金とアイディアとやる気と根気と、色々なきゃドリ車をこのレベルに持って行けないでしょ。　ショーカーじゃないんだからさ。　素晴らしいよ、うん。　かっこいい。

And this was the best motorcycle at the show. It was at the Junction Produce booth.

ジャンクションブース。　色々と話題作りがうまいですよね、JPさんは。

Tokyo Auto Salon Report Volume 1.

東京オートサロンのプレスデイへ。　もう午後からの特別枠や土日の一般開放日はキャンギャル目当てのカメコが多すぎてクルマが見れないので、プレスデイのしかも午前中からデバりましたよ。

It kinda sucks for RE Amamiya that only (almost) only cars they can tune is FD and FC nowdays. FD/FCs are cool looking cars though.

いつんなってもアマさんトコはカッコイイなぁ。　やっぱFC／FDは永遠だね。　だって、次がないんだもの。　RX-8て……。　ま、マツダはやっぱセブンだね。　　しかしFDはほんとカッコいいなぁ。

JZA80 Supra(for real!).

80スープラ。　当然エレノアをサンプリング。　でも、カッコ悪いよね、バランスが。　　ま、珍しいからってことで。

Eunos RoadStar (Mazda Miata). Again, for real.

これはロードスターベースで、2000GTをサンプリング。　こっちはバランスが良い！　ベース車のサイズ考えると、ヨタハチ作ってもいいよね。

My second favorite of the show!

うーん、これからはやっぱり旧車だな。　日産の旧車。

Hybrid VIPs were in this year. Many booths had fixed up Prius and Insight.

まー、ハイブリッドとかが好きな人はそっちもイイんだろうけど。　ボクが好きなハイブリッドはレクサス600hLだけ。　アレ乗ると、460Lに乗れなくなるからねー。　あ、日本は460にLはないんだった。　ま、ガソリンエンジンのLSには乗れなくなるね。　もうピックアップが違うもん、エンジンの。　あ、モーターか。

ボクらは山頭火で第一部を〆た後、渋谷の居酒屋へ。　もうすでに三軒目なんで、訳わかってないです。　このあたりで終電が無くなってますね。

We went to eat Ramen and then went to a local bar to drink more. The last train took off around this time...

じゃんけんで負けたらワサビを食べるつー外人ノリなゲーム、3回やって2回負けたボク。　10人近くいたのに．．．．．．。

Cheap alcohol, edamanes, and good friends make a good time.

で、ハーレムだ、ブエノスだ、Neoだってなって、結局キャメロットへ。　あー、飲んだ。

Then we went to Camelot for even better time. I thought I was going home by the last train, man I was wrong.

Setsuya Kurosaki, the new leader.

My friend just became the principal of Ikejiri Institute of Design, so I went to go visit him and his school.

前から気になっていたIIDさん、ひょんな事から校長にご案内していただけるということでお邪魔してきました。

Setsuya Kurotaki, the new principal at IID, is a successful sound producer. He has produced sound at Miss Universe, Miss Harajuku Grand Prix, Audi, Sotokoto Magazine, etc, He has passion on everything he's dealing with, especially music. His experience, his passion, and how he talks, everything about him attracts many people and many things. IID's future is bright ever with the new leader. 　

ミスユニバース、ミス原宿グランプリ、雑誌ソトコト、Audi他たくさんのイベントでサウンドプロデュースをされてきた黒瀧さん。　かなり熱い、そしてたくさんの経験をされてきた、素晴らしい方です。　校長、企画室長、そしてクリエイティブ・ディレクターを兼ねる彼を中心に、IIDにはたくさんの面白い人とモノが集まってくることでしょう。　期待してます！

TV Commercial

TV観てて思うんだけど、CMにでてくる提供企業のロゴってただ単にポーンと出るだけじゃなくて、例えば上の永谷園のCMのようにお茶漬けの袋からシャッシャッと出てきたり、下のファイザーのように薬のケースからパコーンと出てきたりしたほうが、観てるほうにはよりイメージを植え付けやすいよね。　この時点でそのような提案をしてない代理店は首にしたほうがイイね。　今でも普通にポーンとロゴが出るだけのCM、多いもん。　ま、ただ単にそっちが好みなのかもしれないけどね。

あと、アルトのCMで、ナンバーの漢字部分がALになってること。　今までクルマのCMっつったら、ボディーカラーと同色の訳わかんない英数字のプレートだったんだけど、アルトはちゃんと黄色で日本のナンバーぽくなってるんだけど、漢字部分だけALに変えてるの。　なかなかイイ案だなーと。

UnderGround ShopFeature

I guess it's not underground, but it's undercover.

I cannot even say the name of the shop. It's hella ghetto that I almost got into fight with one of the customers there today. People who fix up cars in Japan are often current or former biker gangs. We, here in Japan, can get a license for motorcycle when we are 16 years old, and start fixing up and riding bikes. When we become 18, we go get license for car and some people start drifting, do up VIPs, vans, etc, Anyways, it's hella ghetto, but I like it.

SSR Reverse mesh for $168(price for 2) doesnt sound too bad to me.

Recaro SPG for $378.

I got some good stuff there today. Maybe I should go back there soon.

いやー、初日の出暴走の車両じゃないんだなー。　これは元ファルケン（ま、他のメーカーもだけど）のキャンギャルやってた超かわいいコートニー・デイ（今はミッキーと結婚しちゃったけどね）の愛車。　スゲーよ、ブロンドのいかにもーな女の子が、こんな暴走車両乗ってんだから。　カリフォルニアは奥が深いよ。

これはボクの元ルームメイトのトービンがG35に入れたチタンマフラー。　この色がイイんだ。　音はね、比較的静か。　VQって静かなのね。　

ハリウッドにあるお勧めダイナー。　すげーイイの、ココ。

Import Tuner誌編集長、カーター。　この若さで編集長。　てか、この若さで、普段の足はイジッたNSX。　さらに、FD、S13、S14、そしてアメリカ未発売のR33 GT-R（しかも合法！）まで持ってるつー、バブリーなお子様。　ま、オレより年上だけど。　去年フォードの仕事で、マスタング組と一緒に日本一周サーキットめぐりの旅をやったんだよねー。　いやー、あれは色々と話題（問題？！）になったよ、うん。　ま、カンケーないけど。
